Who we are
Afros Yacht Services is responsible (the "controller") for the personal data described in this notice. You can contact us at Vitzi, Paroikia, Paros 844 00, Cyclades, Greece, by email at info@afrosyachtservices.com or by phone on +30 22840 23625. Our General Commercial Registry (ΓΕΜΗ) number is 048390338000.
What we collect and why
- Contact form: your name, email address, subject and message. We use them to reply to your enquiry.
- Booking request form: your preferred yacht, whether you need a skipper, your dates, the number of guests, your first and last name, your email address and/or phone number and your comments, plus your age, address, postal code and country if you choose to give them. We use them to check availability and reply to your charter request.
- Emails and phone calls: your contact details and what you tell us, which we use to deal with your request.
- Website visits: technical data such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you request. Our hosting provider processes it to deliver the website and to protect it against attacks and abuse.
We do not use the data from this website for advertising, profiling or automated decision-making.
Legal basis
We use enquiry and booking data to take steps at your request before entering into a contract and to perform a contract with you (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR), and in our legitimate interest in answering the messages we receive (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). We process technical website data in our legitimate interest in running a secure and reliable website (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Who receives your data
We do not sell your personal data or share it for advertising. These service providers process it on our behalf:
- Cloudflare, which hosts and delivers this website, protects it from attacks and runs the contact and booking forms;
- Mailjet, which delivers the messages you send through our forms to our mailbox;
- our email provider, which stores our mailbox.
We may also disclose data where the law requires it.
Transfers outside the EEA
Some of these providers may process data outside the European Economic Area (EEA). When that happens, the transfer is protected by a safeguard recognised under the GDPR, such as an adequacy decision or the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries and booking requests only for as long as we need them to deal with your request and any follow-up. If a charter, repair or purchase follows, we keep the related records for as long as Greek tax and accounting law requires. Our hosting provider keeps technical website data only for a limited period, for security purposes.
Cookies
This website does not use cookies for analytics or advertising, and it does not load tracking scripts or other third-party content. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, may set a strictly necessary cookie to protect the site from automated abuse, and may receive technical error reports from your browser if a connection to the site fails. Links to Facebook and Instagram take you to those platforms, whose own privacy policies apply.
Your rights
You have the right to ask us for access to your personal data, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to its processing, and to receive it in a portable format. To use these rights, email info@afrosyachtservices.com. We will reply within one month.
You can also lodge a complaint with the Hellenic Data Protection Authority (www.dpa.gr).
Do you have to give us your data?
No. But we need a way to contact you, an email address or a phone number, to answer your enquiry or charter request.
